Katie Morris, Certified Trainer
Katie Morris wears three hats: that of Certified Trainer, Director of Marketing across four California franchises (San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland), and dog mom to a lovably lazy basset hound named Jasper.
Katie first discovered Dale Carnegie when she was a college student in the middle of transferring to a new university.
It was a quote that stood out to her, “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.”
She put this to the test, and immediately met her close friend and now Dale Carnegie colleague, Erin McConlogue.
Upon earning her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Pepperdine University, Katie returned to her native Bay Area where she began her marketing career. She has held key marketing roles at the Napa Valley Film Festival and the Parks and Recreation department of the Town of Yountville. Full of energy, Katie has simultaneously consulted for various other businesses including those in the wine and craft beer industry.
Discovering the power of simply being interested in other people was a light bulb moment that still defines both Katie’s personal and professional life. Throughout her many roles, the most significant constant is a desire to build community and lift the confidence of those around her. It’s with this spirit that Katie enters each training room.
Katie is certified in the Dale Carnegie Course and High Impact Presentations. She has been fortunate to facilitate Dale Carnegie courses for students at Cal State University East Bay, work extensively with professionals in the tech industry, and has experience serving the blind and visually impaired. A few of the other industries Katie has experience training within include railroad, hospitality, real estate, accounting, and manufacturing.
